I have a contractor I want to use that isn’t registered with Linn Valley. How do I get them registered so they can do my work?
The Application for Contractor’s Registration forms are available on this website and at City Hall. Have the contractor complete the application. Return the completed form and a current Certificate of Liability Insurance to City Hall and pay the appropriate fees. Registrations must be renewed each calendar year.
My contractor told me he has done work in Linn Valley for many years. How can I verify the contractor I want to hire is currently registered with the City of Linn Valley?

We live in Linn Valley and love it here but we have seen obvious codes violations in our neighborhood. Does the City have the authority and remedies in place to enforce the codes?
Yes, the City has authority to enforce City Ordinances. We are committed to having a clean and attractive community by working with property owners for compliance. Don Hastings is the City’s Codes Enforcement Officer. The City recently hired a full-time Building Inspector & Codes Enforcement Officer, Dan Donham, who will be taking on compliance responsibilities. Our Codes Enforcement Officer monitors violations and takes action to enforce City regulations. If you are aware of violations, please contact Don at 913 620-8673 to confirm the City has knowledge of those violations.
